Gender Equity Ambassadors

Overview 

Ambassadors are volunteers from across the department who support gender equity efforts in many ways. They help colleagues learn about the gender equity efforts happening in the department, gather feedback and encourage others to participate in these efforts, and help guide the work of the Department of Medicine Gender Equity Council. 

Eligibility

Any Department of Medicine employee with a passion for gender equity and who wants to help with outreach efforts.

Charge

1. Promote the work of the GEC within your division and among your colleagues
2. Share feedback and suggestions:
   • Ideas for content to promote to highlight women and gender minorities in DOM
   • Faculty and Staff Spotlight nominations
   • Events of interest
   • Suggest speakers/topics for Grand Rounds and other speaking engagements
   • Nominate women and gender minorities for awards and leadership roles
3. Share on social media channels and tag #domgenderequity
4. Add (copy/paste) the Gender Equity Ambassador graphic to your email signature
