Kimberly Dill-McFarland

Kimberly Dill-McFarland

Senior Bioinformatician, Allergy and Infectious Diseases

"Kim is an exceptional colleague and supervisor, but I think she particularly deserves consideration this year because of her work in creating UWISDOM. This is a resource that provides bioinformatics resources to University researchers, including staff time and expertise.  This is not only an amazing step to fostering collaboration with other University research groups, departments, and divisions, but also will create opportunities for members of our bioinformatics staff to expand our portfolios and build professional skills."

She has an inherent and exemplary high level of integrity. She is a natural leader, an indispensable member of the team and has gone above the call of duty. We are truly fortunate to have her as an administrative leader in the Department of Medicine."

"Meg Frazer is unshakeable. With all the changes and difficulties these last few years with grants support, financial stresses and people changing jobs, Meg has been our rock. She has taken on so many different roles to keep the research infrastructure going. She has been able to navigate working with multiple other Divisions and funders to ensure grants are successfully started and accounted for."

She also helped with our division spotlights and content editing for the book of milestones that we created for the anniversary. She produces and edits dynamic pieces of content for our department, including video and visual assets. She taught herself photoshop and is our resident expert in creating logos and graphics, as well as visually stunning cards for our social media platforms.
