The University of Washington School of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 20 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity (each session is 1 credit).

Grand Rounds is currently only offered via zoom.

CME Credits

As of Jan. 1, 2024, UW faculty and staff are be able to receive CME credit for free. Part of the way we can support these efforts is by beginning text attendance (only for UW faculty and staff).

Using the texting feature to track attendance allows the CME department to keep track of attendance in real-time. This will also allow an accurate count of CME credits an attendee should receive at the end of the year.

Please note: those who have attended any sessions before January 1, 2024 (UW Faculty and Staff) will still need to pay for their credit to receive a CME certificate.

Non-UW individuals

All non-UW individuals who would like to receive a CME certification will continue to pay.

Text instructions

To obtain credit for your participation, please text your attendance by following the steps below within 60 minutes before, during, or after the activity.

Please create a UW CloudCME account if you haven’t already done so here: www.uwcme.org

Sign in using your cell phone

  1. Send a text message to 833-394-7078
  2. The message should be the email address associated with your CloudCME Profile (UW faculty and staff should use their UW email address).

Text response step one

Once you send your text, you should receive a reply text that simply says "Thank you (name), your phone number has been updated to (your phone #)"

Text response step two

If you received the above message, please continue by entering the activity code provided by the course coordinator (8821). You should receive a text reply that says "Thank you (name), we have recorded your attendance for DS2427: Department of Medicine Grand Rounds (date)"

If you do not see these replies, STOP and create an account at www.uwcme.org or sign in the traditional way and claim credit using this form
