Overview
The Department of Medicine is offering a Career Development and Success Workshop for early career faculty in the Department of Medicine. The goals are to provide an opportunity to meet leaders and experienced faculty in the department and to learn about resources and tips for career success.
When and where
This in-person workshop is scheduled on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, from 8:30-noon in the Vista Cafe in the Foege Genome Sciences building, on the UWMC-Montlake campus.
Agenda
The agenda for the workshop includes:
- Welcome from department leadership with community building opportunities
- Opportunities and resources for educators
- Overview of clinical programs and expectations
- Breakout sessions #1. Small group discussions focused on success as an inpatient clinician or as an outpatient clinician
- Breakout session #2. Small group discussions focused on career development opportunities for MD faculty or for APP faculty
- Breakout session #3. Small group discussions focused on success as an educator or as an investigator
